Alphonso James Case Overview
On February 20, 1986, Alphonso James was found guilty of the murder of Del Pascavis. Mr. Alphonso James has maintained his innocence while serving the last 29 years in prison. An attempt to test DNA evidence, which had been stored improperly, did not result in any evidence to overturn the guilty verdict. However, there neither is nor ever was any DNA evidence that pointed to Alphonso as the murderer. New methods for testing DNA are now being persuaded in order to gather meaningful DNA evidence. There are six areas where justice may have not been served as outlined on Page Two.
